The Monastrell grape is bold, full bodied and herby and is famed for producing high alcoholic reds. It is found mainly in the Murcia and Valencian regions of Spain and in Southern France (where it is called Mourvèdre)

Tasting Notes – Intensely aromatic with very fresh, ripe red berry fruit, toasted oak and the subtle spice notes of mild paprika and pink peppercorns.
Powerful blast of red berries, spice and balsamic, followed by sweet sensations of the toasted oak. Best served at a temperature of 16-18ºC.
Pairing – Excellent with red meat, game, duck, strong cheese, pâtés, rice dishes or pasta with a rich tomato sauce
